Mainly gently rolling with some tussock left in gullies & sidlings provides an excellent environment for calving hinds. This property is a specialized breeding & finishing unit & as top high breed value Sires from the stud are used over high breed value females, this makes for an excellent in-house proving ground for our genetics.
Calving starts here 20th October & the better weaners have consistently reached 100kg by June for the last 10yrs. As the hind base is replaced with younger genetics each year & better sires become available the average keeps improving.
